We offer motorcycle training in Nottingham 7 days a week. With our vast experience, you’re in the best possible hands and could mean you could pass your test with less lessons, saving you money! Roadcraft has managed to keep the personal touch, humour and enthusiasm a lot of schools can lose over the years, we haven’t been training successfully for over 30 years for nothing.
Introductory Lesson
The basic one hour lesson is designed as a taster for people who have never ridden a bike with gears and clutch before.
It also gives the advantage of one to one training before going into a group CBT in Nottingham. A half hour lesson can also be arranged if you have had a “play” in the past on an off road area. This would only be £15.00

CBT (Compulsory Basic Training)
Anyone with a provisional two-wheeled licence of any kind must take this course to validate their motorcycle or moped licence.
This training course will contain all the information necessary to pass the C.B.T as easily as possible, and can easily be completed on the same day provided you are up to the Roadcraft standard.
The CBT is valid for two years and allows any motorcycle, geared or automatic, up to 125cc to be ridden provided the rider has reached the minimum age required.
Once you have successfully completed CBT and have your certificate (DL 196) you can carry on to take additional motorbike training like direct access to pass your tests and qualify for a full motorcycle or moped license.

125cc Motorcycle Training
With the 125cc training you do your CBT, your theory and your module 1 & 2 as you would on a larger bike. Once you pass on the 125 you can then remove your old plates you can take a passenger and you go on motorways if you want to.

DAS Direct Access Courses
If you are aged 19 or over, you can skip over the 125cc limit by passing your restricted A2 test on one of our restricted bikes or a full powered 650cc at age 24 or after passing the A2 test for 2 years.
CBT will be carried out on a 125cc motorcycle, followed by initial 125 road training to allow you to gain confidence and experience.
The lessons for the main tests are typically 2 hours per lesson as we don’t waste time standing at the side of the road smoking whilst you pay our wages, our information comes thick and fast and WILL tire you out.
Once competent on the 125cc bike you will progress onto the larger bikes (depending on age) and train until test ready. Time taken to get to the larger bikes depends on your ability and availability.
On the day of the final tests (Module 1 and 2), Roadcraft will meet you one hour early at our shop on Beechdale Road, Nottingham and take you to the Test Centre whilst giving you a “mock test” type polish up. We will wait for you whilst you take the test and follow you back to our shop afterwards. We call this a “pre-test”

Advanced Motorcycle Training
With the emphasis on safety, advanced training is carried out to a police style advanced system which is based on the advanced rider’s manual “Motorcycle Roadcraft”.
We are fully qualified by the DVSA to conduct the ERS or Enhanced rider scheme training and can train you up to the I.A.M or R.O.S.P.A standard. We can also train potential blood bike riders and a certificate of successful completion issued by ourselves can also reduce your insurance premium.
