He passed his first advanced riding course with Star Rider in November 1984, started Roadcraft in March 1989 and took the IAM advanced test as a matter of course just to add to the certificate collection in 1993 and has recently passed his ROSPA advanced riding test to a gold standard in August 2019 so holds THREE advanced riding awards and is a DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme advanced instructor. To keep his riding at the best standard possible he also entered many road safety competitions which were Organised by the Police forces in Staffordshire and surrounding areas culminating in many awards and trophies, we believe there is no other rider or instructor in the UK with as many awards. Russ has also trained or help train up other instructors who have gone on to start up their own training schools over the years but Roadcraft remains the longest established school in the East Midlands and quite possibly in the world. There’s no substitute for experience.
The award winning motorcycle training school
To keep our own riding ability to the highest possible standards, we at Roadcraft Motorbike school in Nottingham entered Road safety competitions which were organised by police in the Midlands. We were very successful and won many awards.
There are no other schools that we are aware of that have won as many awards as we have.
By keeping our riding and training standards as high as possible, we feel that these successes will be passed on to you!
